In addition to my state license and national certification, I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education, the National Career Development Association, and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. My training and experience has been with adolescents and adults from a diversity of ethnic backgrounds.
    I tend to view my clients' concerns as normal, developmental issues and will help them try to cope better with life transitions. I help my clients identify thoughts and beliefs that may be blocking their growth and find alternative ones that will produce more pleasant emotions. I ask my clients to practice new behaviors and develop new skills to improve their functioning.
